EPUB enables the creation and transport of reflowable digital books and other types of content as single-file digital publications that are interoperable between disparate EPUB-compliant reading devices and applications. EPUB encompasses a content markup standard (Open Publication Structure - OPS), a packaging standard (Open Packaging Format - OPF), and a container standard (Open Container Format - OCF). ETI’s senior staff have played pivotal roles in the organization since it’s inception. Garth Conboy (ETI’s President), John Rivlin (ETI’s CEO), and Brady Duga (ETI Senior Engineer) chaired and vice-chaired the technical working groups that designed the EPUB standard and its predecessor standards. |
